Automated Bookmarking Of Your Sites!

2:34 pm Product Reviews

I got a pre-release copy of RSS Bookmarker and like it a lot.
What it does is it bookmarks ALL your links (internal money pages, subdomains – every page you have) from an RSS FEED.

It bookmarks them to Social bookmarking sites for which you’ve set up an account.
Slow drip style.
This is huge because you do NOT dump all your liks at once (spam) you set a schedule on a cron job (the program gives the cron command to use), and forget it!

Well it turns out Anthony (the programmer) has a bonus called RSS Feed Generator (which I think he will release as a separate standalone script) that spiders any site for you….. so guess what I did -
Tip: Spider your sitemap pages to create the feed, then the program automatically ftp’s the xml feed to the location you specify.
Then place that URL into RSS Bookmarker and …. you are auto posting to your social bookmark accounts on a schedule.

Things to note:

* Script is expensive…but it works perfectly.
* RSS Feed Generator takes a while to spider really large sitemaps, but it does do the job
* The sales is limited to 500 copies

I do recommend it for the simple reason that when you have a lot of pages, you can’t use the desktop applications without being flagged for spamming because they have to be bookmarked all at once! I do have a great desktop tool, but have to limit my posting with it to indexing only purposes by limiting the pages I bookmark.
With RSS Bookmarker, it does it over time for ALL your pages, which is what the SE’s want to see.

No need to remind you that they want to see (1) gradual growth of (2) one way backlinks (3) to your internal pages – all of which give you higher rankings.

Hope thats useful.

Yes Matt, there’s a very easy to follow manual that shows you how to set it up.
The social bookmark accounts you need to set up yourself – there are only 9, so you need to go there to del.icio.us and a few others and create the accounts.

Then all you do is inter your username and password into RSS Bookmarker for each account.
Not difficult. The most difficult thing is setting the cron job, but the program gives you the actual cron command to use, so that makes it easy.
