Conversion Equalizer: PPC Tool

First product review. this one is about Conversion Equalizer. I bought this over a month before I started using it…I was intimidated by the fact that it was another ‘script’ which means…it will take me forever to understand & implement it & I need to be well rested & mentally focused to tackle such geekdom.

After I decided to give it a go, I printed out the help files, & read them over lunch in an hour. I understood it!!!! I already knew the value of Landing pages when used with PPC….This month, PPC is bringing me something like $350 a day….and I use several landing pages.

Basically Conversion Equalizer does what it says….It automatically ‘inserts’ the keyword your customer searched for into the top of your page or anywhere in the text you choose it to be.

I was able to create 2 landing pages in about 2 hours (after a little trial & error).
The steps are something like:
1. Decide what product you want to promote & do your keywor research
2. Come up with a landiing page of your own,in your own website creator program
3. Open up Conversion Equalizer & create a project (name & where you want to save it on your computer).
4. Insert the HTML CODE of the page you created into the ‘code section’ of Conversion Equalizer .
5. Adjust the views as necessary till it looks like you want.
6. Insert the ‘keywords tags’ into the text of your landing page, where you want the keywords to appear when customers search from google & land on your page.
7. Save it & enter your FTP information for your site where you want the page hosted.
8. Upload to your site & use the URL as the “destination URL for your ad.

Thats about it.
It works. I searched for my ad, clicked on it and the words I typed in google appeared on the page and in the title etc etc.

Now..I wondered if I can do the same for Overture….the answer is yet to be determined.

See, I submitted ads to Overture/ Yahoo for the same landing pages and they were declined for ‘insufficient content’. I realize dthis was because Overture /Yahoo reviews ads MANUALLY (the bastards) and with Conversion Equalizer, the page created only has tags like “KEYWORD_VALUE” where you actual customer-searched keywords would go.

So I think the workaround for this is….create a ‘normal page & submit to Overture, then AFTER it’s been approved, upload your Conversion Equalizer version :-)

I will try it soon and re-submit, as Yahoo/Overture is a high converting PPC search engine, so it is worth the extra hassle. I get a lot of sales from Overture now.

But bottom line is it works once you get over the intimidation factor and follow the step,….landing pages geared toward the actual keywords have huuuuuge potention to increase your Conversion, so I absolutely recommend it and will be creating more of these pages since I already utilize landing pages extensively.
