Social Bookmarking & Headaches
July 14, 2007 2:19 am Search Engine Optimization: SEOSpent waaay too much time wrestling with RSS Bookmarker to try to make it work on more than one domain so I an automatically bookmark pages of my sites to social bookmark sites gradually.
I have some ideas to try with it and it would make organization easier to install on one domain per batch I build & let that install bookmark the sites in that batch.
Easier for organization, but took me a while to discover that it was made to only be installed on one site…. which doesn’t make me very happy.
Still don’t get why this is ever done. Its not like I’d give it away for free or just go around bookmarking sites randomly lol…
Still trying to convince the creator that license limits are not necessary for this software…
Wish me luck.
Otherwise this is potentially one of the top 2 or 3 toools I know of and own for getting serious backlinks…

I have several scripts that I’m only allowed to install on one domain, this is not something uncommon. For RSS Bookmarker, there is no reason to need multiple installations of the script. From a single install you can manage the bookmarking of any number of domains individually or as a group.

I still prefer to buil in batches and have all my installs in batches. I guess you can have them all in one install, but I want to forget about each batch as soon as I’m done because I will let the domains expire after the renewal comes due.
SO what happens then if I cant install on another domain. That is one reason I want multiple installs. Then there’s the “themeing” issue…
I’ll probably send you an email about that. Because if you dont give us the option to do multiple installs then RSSBM needs one improvement that will actually make it better.
